Week 02
Ears & Acoustics
How we hear, room acoustics basics, and developing your critical listening skills from the ground up.
Week 03
DAW Fundamentals
Session setup, recording audio and MIDI, editing, comping, and basic session management.
Week 04
The Art of Recording
Microphone types, polar patterns, placement techniques, and gain staging done right.
Week 05
EQ — Shaping Sound
Parametric, shelving, high/low pass — subtractive and additive EQ on real material.
Week 06
Dynamics — Control & Feel
Compression fundamentals, gates, expanders, and the art of parallel compression.
Week 07
Space & Effects
Reverb, delay, saturation — building depth, dimension and atmosphere in a mix.
Week 08
Mixing — Putting It Together
Building a full mix from scratch, balancing elements, mix bus chain, and reference tracks.
Week 09
Intro to Mastering
Loudness, LUFS, streaming standards, and a full mastering chain walkthrough.
Week 10
Final Project & Showcase
Present your completed mix, receive professional feedback, industry Q&A, and certificate.
